, ,Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Director of Talent Acquisiton to join our growing team.
Location: Primarily Pacific Time Zone (Hybrid/Remote with travel as needed)
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for developing, leading, and executing a comprehensive recruiting strategy to support the company’s rapid growth. Currently at 1,700 employees and projected to expand to 3,500 employees within two to three years, the company requires a proven leader who can scale talent acquisition functions across engineering, manufacturing, operations, and administrative teams. This role provides strategic direction, operational leadership, and functional expertise in attracting, hiring, and retaining top talent in competitive labor markets.
- Develop and implement a multi-year talent acquisition strategy aligned with company growth plans
- Collaborate with executive leadership to forecast workforce requirements and create scalable hiring plans
- Lead employer branding, recruitment marketing, and university/early-career recruiting programs
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing recruiting organization including managers, recruiters, sourcers, and coordinators
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Provide training and development opportunities to elevate team capabilities
- Design and implement efficient recruiting processes, technology solutions, and reporting tools
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment regulations, including OFCCP, EEOC, and government contracting standards
- Partner with HR, Operations, and functional leaders to drive alignment between recruiting and workforce planning
- Oversee full-cycle recruiting for leadership, technical, and skilled manufacturing roles
- Ensure timely delivery against hiring targets while maintaining quality of hire and positive candidate experience
- Develop strategic sourcing channels and external partnerships (e.g., universities, technical programs, military recruiting)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to work flexible hours to support teams across multiple time zones
QUALIFICATIONS
- Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
- This position may require the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in recruiting/talent acquisition, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven experience scaling talent acquisition in high-growth environments (engineering, aerospace, or advanced manufacturing preferred)
- Deep knowledge of labor markets in the Pacific Time Zone and nationally
- Strong knowledge of ATS platforms, recruiting technology, and workforce planning tools
- Demonstrated success in influencing executives and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing industries preferred
- Prior leadership in scaling a workforce from ~1,500 to 3,000+ employees prefered
- Knowledge of government clearance processes, DoD hiring requirements, and federal contractor compliance preferred
- Strong professional network in engineering, technical, and skilled manufacturing recruiting preferred
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Salary range for this role is between $160,000 - $200,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
