, ,Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Cybersecukrity Analyst to join our growing team.
This position is located on-site in Sedro-Woolley, WA.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Cybersecurity Analyst will play a key role in strengthening the organization’s cybersecurity posture by driving compliance with regulatory frameworks. Primary responsibilities will focus on governance, risk, and compliance activities, including maintaining security documentation, conducting assessments, and supporting audit readiness. The applicant will collaborate with IT and security teams to support operational monitoring and incident response, helping safeguard systems and data.
The following essential job functions are performed as a Cybersecurity Analyst:
- Implement and maintain NIST SP 800-171 controls, including documentation such as SSPs and POA&Ms, while preparing for CMMC assessments
- Conduct self-assessments, gap analyses, and readiness reviews to ensure ongoing compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements
- Collaborate with auditors, DoD representatives, and prime contractors during assessments and compliance engagements
- Develop, maintain, and enforce cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards, while tracking regulatory changes (DFARS, CMMC, ITAR, EAR)
- Perform security monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response through SIEM/XDR tools, scans, and remediation tracking
- Support endpoint security, patch management, access control reviews, and system hardening for environments handling sensitive data
- Conduct risk assessments of internal systems, vendors, and supply chain partners, documenting risks and advising leadership on mitigation strategies
- Provide security awareness training, partner with departments on secure implementations, and serve as a liaison between technical teams and leadership
- Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines.
- Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
- This position may require the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in information technology, cybersecurity operations, or governance, risk, and compliance
- Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 and related DoD cybersecurity requirements, including DFARS 252.204-7012 and CMMC
- Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, and endpoint protection platforms
- Strong understanding of access control, incident response, and system hardening
- Maintain an active DoD 8570 security certification, such as the Security+. Additional industry certifications preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must be willing to participate in week-long on-call rotation
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
- Must be willing and able to obtain a government issued security clearance.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Salary range for this role is between $80,000 - $100,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
