Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a Master Planner to join our growing team.

This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Master Planner is responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to support customer demand, program requirements, and business objectives. This role ensures the efficient use of resources, materials, and production capacity in alignment with aerospace industry standards, customer requirements, and regulatory compliance. The Master Planner collaborates cross-functionally with Engineering, Program Management, Production, Procurement, and Quality to deliver on-time performance, optimize inventory levels, and drive operational efficiency.

The following essential job functions are performed as a Master Planner: 

  • Develop, maintain, and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to meet customer delivery requirements and internal business goals
  • Translate customer forecasts, orders, and program requirements into executable production plans
  • Monitor demand and supply balance, adjusting schedules based on material availability, capacity constraints, and changing priorities
  • Coordinate with Program Management to align schedules with contract milestones and delivery commitments
  • Partner with Production, Procurement, and Engineering to identify risks and constraints, ensuring proactive resolution
  • Analyze production performance and recommend improvements to optimize throughput and reduce bottlenecks
  • Maintain accurate data in ERP/MRP systems; ensure alignment between demand, inventory, and capacity planning
  • Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes with schedule data, forecasts, and capacity analysis
  • Provide visibility of schedule status, risks, and recovery plans to leadership and key stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ITAR, and customer requirements in all planning activities
  • Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. 
  • Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance. This is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
  • Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).  Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field required
  • 5+ years of planning, scheduling, or supply chain experience in aerospace or complex manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor, or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and adjust plans in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and planning tools
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
  • Must be willing and able to obtain a government issued security clearance

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Salary range for this role is between $105,000 - $130,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
