, ,Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for an Experienced Metrology Technician to join our growing team.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State.
The Metrology Technician performs a variety of duties and multiple uses of different skillsets. Technicians are required to follow detailed instructions and drawings, in the assembly of tooling fixtures, precision weldments, machined surfaces and fly-away aerospace parts. Drilling, tapping, grinding, hardware placement, and precise aerospace tool finishes are common tasks. Hiring for Day Shift, Weekend, and Swing Shifts.
The following essential job functions are performed as Metrology Technician:
- Attention to detail and quality is required.
- Reads and understands blueprints, isometric drawings and work orders.
- Receives and carries out directions from designated Supervisors and Production Leads.
- Must be able to understand and comply with Safety Practices.
- Complies with 5S, AS9100 and Nadcap Standards and Practices.
- Identifies and obtains equipment, tools and materials needed to properly perform job function.
- Sets up scaffolding and safety barriers under direction.
- Properly executes Hazardous Material Disposal activities.
- Performs preventive maintenance on machines and facilities as required.
- Knowledge of common hand tools and demonstrated mechanical capabilities.
- Performs on the job training, AS9100, Nadcap training and other training as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
- Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED required, college level or trade school education preferred.
- One or more years of experience in a metrology role.
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in aircraft frame assembly/maintenance and/or painting would be a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Must be able to perform repetitive tasks for an entire shift. Must be able to sit, stand, or crouch down for extended periods. Must be able to climb ladders and work platforms. Exposed to noise, dust, dirt, and paint fumes. Must be able to work under hot and cold conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE), safety glasses and respirator will be required. Must be comfortable working within confined spaces and at various heights.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Wage range for this role is between $20 - $45 an hour plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
