Janicki Industries is an innovative, family-owned aerospace company located at the foot of the Cascades. We focus on engineering and manufacturing complex projects for companies in the aerospace, defense, and space industries. We are looking for a NC Engineer Lead to join our growing team.
This position is located on-site in Hamilton, Washington State
POSITION DESCRIPTION
NC Engineer Leads are responsible for managing a group of NC Engineers that create and maintaining NC Programming and machining processes. An ideal candidate will have management experience, strong communication skills, an aptitude for CNC and machining processes, and should be technically knowledgeable of a wide range of manufacturing aspects. Activities will include management, CNC programming, machining process development, ownership of machining related projects including any pre and post machining operations.
The following essential job functions are performed as a NC Engineer Lead:
- Directly mentors and offers leadership and training to employees and coworkers.
- Monitors employees and enforced compliance with established procedures; provides related training for individuals and groups as necessary.
- Manages team assignments, schedules and effectiveness
- Ensures company directives are implemented and maintained
- Leads initiatives such as new process integration, new machine standup, software development and integration, product development, etc.
- Provide bid support and process direction to new or incoming projects
- Maintains an overview of production processes and facilities
- Develops and executes high level and detailed project plans, including managing schedules and budgets
- Works directly with the customer technical team to determine detailed requirements and deliverables, communicates or presents to customer on project status or health
- Interacts frequently with shop floor to ensure project health
- Completes and understands all quality requirements for projects
- Manages project scope and performs risk assessments
- Shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in the English language
- Must be at work on time and maintain good attendance, this is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Design Technology, or a similar field is required
- 5+ years CNC programming/machining experience
- 3+ years management/leadership experience
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office products; experience with NX, and SAP is desirable
- A combination of Extensive work experience, (10+ Years) and other education may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language
- Must be familiar with a variety of the fields' concepts, practices and procedures
- Must be able to rely on extensive experience, problem-solving skills and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in the English language
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION -
- Salary range for this role is between $105,000 - $150,000, plus discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
